Trailers! (or, in space no one can hear you shoot a Thompson)

I'm not sure how excited I should be about this first one. Called Pandorum, it's a horror movie in space--the best kind--with something about saving mankind. There's nothing special about the director or writer as far as I can tell, but Ben Foster and Dennis Quaid are in it so I'll probably give it a look.

Here's the important trailer release this week. Public Enemies. 1930s gangster John Dillinger played by Johnny Depp, pursued by Christian Bale, Directed by Michael Mann. Also, guns. What more does a human need?

  1. Pandorum looks interesting enough for me to want to know more. Not sure beyond that though.

Someone's doing a remake of Public Enemy? Hmmmmm... could be interesting.

  2. Pandorum looks sweet. Of course, that's the job of the trailer. And they always trick me (don't see 40 Days of Night). It kind of looks like a cross between Event Horizon and Sphere. Ben Foster is becoming a really cool actor that usually plays a badass chracter (see 40 Days of Night). Haha, I just noticed Quaid's tag. Man Gary, you are so subtely funny.

I'm not a big Depp fan. I think he thinks he's way too cool for school. He's one of those people you could picture speaking in an English accent all the time, even when they're born and raised in the US (Julliane Moore's character in Big Lebowski). I do like Bale, even after his tirade. Even though what he said was kinda messed up, it shows you he actually cares about what he makes.
